A robust blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon created a truly unique wine in 2018. The Syrah fruit for this blend comes from Paso Robles, while the Cabernet fruit is sourced from a small vineyard in Sonoma County. A true representation of two very different growing regions. Almost immediately on the nose, there is a dark fruit component reminiscent of black cherry, plums, and cooked blackberries, wrapped in that characteristic Syrah earthiness. The mid palate unfolds big, muscular tannins which are somewhat softened by the beautiful blueberry and dark cherry characteristics of both varietals. This is a BIG wine, capable of standing up to grilled meats and BBQ. Drink now through 2030.
